Welcome to my blog. I am a common person just like you who loves to write, think and share new ideas. A bit about my self, my name is pronounced as "Khaa|diija" and I am an avid researcher. My fun fact is that I've lived in 4 countries, 5 cities in my almost 25 years of life. Ouch, now you guys know how old I am, actually turning 25 in just a month...

In these 25 years of life and living in different countries and interacting with different people (yes I am social butterfly) there are some experiences that I've gathered over time which I hope to share in my blogs. So stay tuned and let me know what your thoughts are!

"Ehd e wafa" ~ "The promise of Loyalty"

I want to share a topic that is very close to my heart "The promise of Loyalty"  or " Ehd e wafa". To my non-Pakistani folks who have't heard about this, this is a block buster drama series which recently aired its season finale and is based on the story of four high school students from different backgrounds and their journeys to find their purpose in life while learning to be loyal to their commitments. You can find the  plot summary  and the drama  trailer  here. Just to give a quick summary to my readers, the story begins with four notorious yet talented students who go on to find their calling in life and become four pillars of the establishment; politician, journalist, bureaucrat and a soldier. Many aspects of this drama are a fairly good representation of our society and persuaded me to think beyond the mere entertainment aspect of this project. Have you ever wondered the difference between your conscious and subconscious self?

A few months ago, while working for my thesis on an exciting yet difficult topic of mental health and its genetic relationship, I become more aware of MY thought processes and behaviors. I remember when I sat there proofreading my report the night before submission, I came to an interesting conclusion about my t hesis content. While most of the subject matter was consciously written, some aspects were interestingly the product of my subconscious while consciously making an effort to study!  :) During my project, while interviewing dozens of people and researchers on their expression of anger and stress, I was often asked this question.
